Bayer

Our pets give us so much. It’s only human that we want to give the love back.

At Bayer, our mission of Science For a Better Life is more than a tagline — it’s a commitment to improving lives, both yours and your pet’s. And it fuels our passion to advocate for pet adoption — because we believe every pet deserves a healthy, comfortable and happy life.

We recognize that pets enhance our lives in so many ways, and we make it a priority to return that favor through the programs and causes we actively support. We’re proud of our long-standing partnerships with a variety of non-profits and organizations that stand with our belief that our lives are better when shared with a pet.

Below are a few of the organizations that we support.

Bayer Supports Shelters and Adopt-a-Pet.com

We understand the unique bond that begins the moment you welcome a new pet into your new home. And millions of those pets come from local shelters. That’s why Bayer is committed to supporting animal health by working directly with shelters nationwide and partnering with Adopt-a-Pet.com.

Adopt-a-Pet.com is North America's largest non-profit pet adoption website, connecting good people with great pets from more than 17,000 animal shelters and rescues across the US and Canada.

In 2018, Adopt-a-Pet.com will be giving away $75,000 in product from Bayer Animal Health, including Seresto® flea and tick prevention for dogs or cats, Advantage® II flea prevention for cats, and K9 Advantix® II flea, tick and mosquito prevention for dogs. (Do not use K9 Advantix® II on cats.) These products will go to shelters and rescues to help them care for cats or dogs while they are waiting to be adopted. K9s For Warriors

Bayer is proud to partner with K9s For Warriors, a non-profit organization that pairs specially-trained shelter dogs with veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disability (PTSD), traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post-9/11. Service dogs help where medications often fail so warriors can return to civilian life with dignity and independence.

Paws Place Pet Shelter at the Rose Brooks Center

Bayer is a proud partner supporting the pet shelter at Rose Brooks Center, the first domestic violence shelter in its region to welcome the pets of women and children seeking a safe haven from abuse.

The idea for Paws Place Shelter at the Rose Brooks Center was born when a woman arrived at the shelter after being beaten nearly to death by her boyfriend. Her 110-pound Great Dane had protected her by lying on top of her during the attack, taking a majority of the blows and suffering many broken bones. The woman refused to abandon her dog and, knowing her life was in danger, the center agreed to take in its first family pet.

Rose Brooks Center is about saving lives, and Bayer is honored to support Paws Place Shelter to help ensure that families and their pets can heal together.
