Bayer

Our pets give us so much. It’s only human that we want to give the love back.

At Bayer, our mission of Science For a Better Life is more than a tagline — it’s a commitment to improving lives, both yours and your pet’s. And it fuels our passion to advocate for pet adoption — because we believe every pet deserves a healthy, comfortable and happy life.

We recognize that pets enhance our lives in so many ways, and we make it a priority to return that favor through the programs and causes we actively support. We’re proud of our long-standing partnerships with a variety of non-profits and organizations that stand with our belief that our lives are better when shared with a pet.

Below are a few of the organizations that we support.

In 2019, Adopt-a-Pet.com will give out animal shelter grants — a total of $100,000 in Seresto® products — through the Seresto® Circle of Love grant program. The grants give shelters Seresto® collars to help protect their dogs and cats from fleas and ticks while the pets wait to find forever homes.

Adopt-a-pet.com, whose values align with the Bayer mission statement of improving the health and well-being of pets around the world, is America’s largest nonprofit pet-adoption website. Through this partnership, Bayer supports the mission of connecting good people with great pets. Adopt-a-Pet.com features pets from more than 17,000 animal shelters and rescue organizations across the U.S. and Canada.

K9s For Warriors: Service Dogs for America’s Heroes

Bayer is proud to partner with K9s For Warriors, a non-profit organization that pairs specially-trained shelter dogs with veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disability (PTSD), traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma as a result of military service post-9/11. Service dogs help where medications often fail so warriors can return to civilian life with dignity and independence.

Paws Place Pet Shelter at the Rose Brooks Center

For domestic violence survivors, finding a way to escape dangerous situations without leaving their beloved pets behind is a difficult struggle. Bayer is a longtime supporter of domestic violence shelters that understand the importance of keeping women and children together with their pets. Bayer is proud to support these special shelters that recognize the bond between families and their pets, such as the Rose Brooks Center in Kansas City, Missouri, and Noah’s Animal House in Las Vegas.

In 2019, Bayer expanded its support of these organizations by launching the Grants Fur Families program. Through this program, Bayer has donated a total of $130,000 to 13 domestic violence shelters across the country, enabling these shelters to open new on-site pet facilities and to improve existing pet-related facilities.

Supporting Community Animal Shelters

Healthy beginnings start with healthy pets. Our Shelter Blueprint program provides affordable Bayer flea, tick and heartworm disease prevention products to animal shelters and welfare organizations. That means families adopting a cat or dog can focus on the fun of bringing a new pet home.
